August 4, 2009 Dear Exhibitors, I am writing to invite
you to the fall conference of the Northern New England Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (NNETESOL). NNETESOL is a membership
association of hundreds of ESOL teachers from Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and other New England states who teach ESOL in
K-12 and post-secondary educational settings. The conference will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at
Plymouth
State University (PSU) in Plymouth, New Hampshire. This fall’s conference theme is “A
Question of Good Teaching” and we are pleased to have Jayme Adelson-Goldstein as our keynote speaker presenting
“More than ‘WH’: The Art of Asking Questions in the ESL Classroom.”
Ms. Adelson-Goldstein has published several books with Oxford University Press including the Oxford
Picture Dictionary and is a dynamic speaker who has presented at many TESOL and TESOL-affiliate conferences. We anticipate 150 attendees gathering on the beautiful campus of Plymouth State University for workshops, networking,
and viewing and purchasing ESOL materials. We strongly hope that you will be able to exhibit your books at the conference
and help teachers learn about new and exciting products you have. As you know, for many teachers, this is the primary—and
sometimes only—opportunity to learn about various newly developed teaching materials and teacher resources. For those
of you representing institutions of higher education, this is a prime opportunity to promote your ESOL programs to those attending. The cost to exhibit is $175 per one 6-foot table (this price includes lunch for one person). Each additional 6-foot
table costs $125. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to be sure your materials reach our conference attendees,
we can include your catalog in the conference packets for a fee of $150. To secure a table, please register
anytime between September 1st
and October
31, 2009 by going to our website at www.nnetesol.org . There, you
will find a link to Acteva to register. In addition, if you are interested in giving a presentation on your products
as part of the conference program, please download a “Call for Proposal” form located on the
home page of our website and submit it by September 5, 2009 for consideration. To those who regularly exhibit, we appreciate
your support of our network of Northern New England educators. To those who are considering exhibiting, we hope that you will
come share both your products and your knowledge. If you have any questions, please contact me at mmegan@aol.com or (603) 498-0197. I hope to see you on Saturday, November 14th! Sincerely,
Megan Donnelly Publishers’ Liaison Northern New England TESOL
