I’ve gotten a few emails of late asking about our spring plans, which have not been finalized in the NNETESOL area, but there are other events you should keep your eye on.
The TESOL conference is not very far away–in Philadelphia this year, March 29-31. Early registration ends February 1. That will take place in March. You can register for it here. TESOL is offering a new service this year for people who are going alone. You can register and say you are seeking a roommate to bring those hotel costs down. TESOL will then give you the opportunity to match up with other singletons. I also noticed on the website that Amtrak is offering travel discounts if you book in time.
Another event coming up in the spring is from the Massachusetts TESOL affilliate: the MATSOL 40th Anniversary Conference. This will be May 3 and 4, with keynote speakers Jeff Zwiers, EdD, Stanford University, and Diane Larsen-Freeman, PhD, University of Michigan. The conference takes place in Framingham, Mass.. Early registration ends January 15.
We’ll keep you posted as things develop in our own states!
